The Knowledge Network on Climate Assemblies (KNOCA) aims to improve the commissioning, design, implementation and impact of climate assemblies, using evidence, knowledge exchange and dialogue. We are an active community of policy makers, practitioners, activists, researchers and other actors with experience and interest in climate assemblies who co-create activities and knowledge.
Now it's up to us - new book making the case for climate assemblies
In her new book Nu is het aan ons (Now it’s up to us), Eva Rovers makes the case that climate policy should not be left to politics alone. A many-headed monster like climate change requires a many-headed approach. In the book, published in Dutch, Eva Rovers takes her readers on a journey across several European citizens’ assemblies to show that citizens are crucial to tackling the biggest challenges of our time – especially safeguarding the planet we live on.
Eva Rovers is a writer and co-founder of the Dutch platform for Climate Citizens' Assemblies 'Bureau Burgerberaad'. In 2021 she coordinated the European collective learning project: 'Climate Citizens' Assmeblies - Learning with, from and for Europe'. The conclusions of this project can be found at cca-project.org.
