The Knowledge Network on Climate Assemblies (KNOCA) aims to improve the commissioning, design, implementation and impact of climate assemblies, using evidence, knowledge exchange and dialogue. We are an active community of policy makers, practitioners, activists, researchers and other actors with experience and interest in climate assemblies who co-create activities and knowledge.
Workshop: Re-Evaluating the Impact Evaluation Framework
This workshop served as an important platform to explore the intricacies of impact assessment. Its main objective was to refine and improve the Impact Evaluation Framework 1.0. This framework, developed in early 2022 by the Centre for Climate Change and Social Transformations (CAST) in collaboration with the Knowledge Network on Climate Assemblies (KNOCA), was designed to capture the diversity of impacts and support better impact evaluation.
During the workshop, participants critically examined the effectiveness of the framework since its inception. They reviewed its application in different settings and considered feedback from numerous KNOCA members with expertise in evaluation. The discussion focussed on the original intentions behind the framework, the lessons learnt from its practical application and possible strategies for its further development.
