The Knowledge Network on Climate Assemblies (KNOCA) aims to improve the commissioning, design, implementation and impact of climate assemblies, using evidence, knowledge exchange and dialogue. We are an active community of policy makers, practitioners, activists, researchers and other actors with experience and interest in climate assemblies who co-create activities and knowledge.
Unveiling the KNOCA Impact Evaluation Framework – Revised and Updated!
Join us for the launch of the revised and updated KNOCA Impact Evaluation Framework, a groundbreaking tool to better understand and measure the effects of climate assemblies.
Climate assemblies can be critical in tackling the climate crisis, influencing policy, public discourse, and systemic change. Evaluating their success requires a robust framework tailored to their unique contexts and goals.
The updated KNOCA Impact Evaluation Framework builds on pioneering work by the Centre for Climate Change and Social Transformations (CAST), incorporating new insights on pathways to impact, unintended consequences, and broader societal contexts. It provides a comprehensive approach to assessing impacts across state and non-state actors, as well as societal systems, emphasizing the instrumental, capacity, and conceptual dimensions of impact.
At this launch event, you'll hear from co-authors Christina Demski and Mark Beanland, who will introduce the framework’s key features and discuss why documenting and understanding impact is vital for the future of participatory democracy and climate action.
This is your chance to:
- Discover innovative ways to evaluate climate assembly outcomes.
- Learn how the framework supports complex goals like climate justice and systemic change.
- Engage in a dialogue about the value and importance of deliberative processes in addressing the climate crisis.
Be part of shaping the future of climate assembly evaluation and ensuring their transformative potential is fully realized.
