The Knowledge Network on Climate Assemblies (KNOCA) aims to improve the commissioning, design, implementation and impact of climate assemblies, using evidence, knowledge exchange and dialogue. We are an active community of policy makers, practitioners, activists, researchers and other actors with experience and interest in climate assemblies who co-create activities and knowledge.
Climate Assemblies: Emerging Trends, Challenges and Opportunities (EVENT POSTPONED)
THIS EVENT IS POSTPONED
NB: Our presenter and chair, Graham Smith has an unfortunate bout of Covid. We are postponing this event until further notice.

What are the principal challenges we face in ensuring assemblies with impact? How can we shape emerging opportunities to bring the voice of citizens into climate governance?
KNOCA will be publishing an updated version of its report on emerging trends in climate assemblies at the end of April. In this event, our chair, Graham Smith, will present the main insights from the report.
We will be joined by Erica Hope, Director of the Climate Governance Programme at the European Climate Foundation and Claudia Chwalisz, Founder and CEO of DemocracyNext to lead a discussion on the state of play for climate assemblies.
The 2023 version of the report can be found here. Also please download above an advance draft of our updated KNOCA Current Trends Report, which captures recent trends in climate groups and is enriched with an additional year of research. This report will form the basis for our discussion and we hope it will enrich your participation.
